PALS - When you need advice, have concerns, or don’t know where to turn.

PALS is designed as a means of providing on the spot help for patients within
the Heart of Birmingham PCT area.

PALS will:

  • Provide information to patients, carers and their families about health and health services locally and put patients in contact with relevant voluntary organisations and statutory bodies.
  • Where possible, resolve problems and concerns quickly, before they turn into complaints.
  • Inform people of the complaints procedure and put them in touch with the Trust’s Complaints Service or ICAS (Independent Complaints and Advocacy Service) when they wish to complain formally.
  • Listen to concerns, suggestions and queries.

You can contact us by phone or email; we will listen and offer advice on the best way to resolve your concerns.

PALS is a confidential and discreet service.

PALS is available between 9.00—5.00 p.m Monday to Friday. An answering machine is available outside office hours.
