You can find a list of all local pharmacies via the NHS Choices website or in the Your Guide to Local Health Services. You can also find a paper copy of this at your local library.

What to expect from your local Pharmacy

Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA)

There are 88 pharmacies in the Heart of Birmingham which provide a wide range of services.

Last year we asked stakeholders and patients who use these servies to tell us what they think about the service pharmacists currently provide and if it meets their health needs.

The results of this consultation can be found in Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment which you can read by clicking here.

Will I be required to pay?

Many people are exempt from prescription charges. Those who are not will be charged for each item. Sometimes more than one charge may be made for certain items. You may find that some medicines are cheaper to buy over the counter without a prescription.
