The Specialist Diabetes Team offers community based care with a Consulant-led service. the team includes a Consultant Diabetologist, Specialist Registrar, Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Health Care support Worker, Specialist Dietician and Podiatry to provide a holistic apporach to the patient. Clinics are held across all localities within the Trust, promoting care close to home.

The Diabetes Team offer diagnostic services for patients suspected of having diabetes and also clinics and structured group education for known diabetics. A variety of group education is offered to promote lifestyle and sympton mangement. A specific house bound service is also offered to patients in their own home or in Nursing Homes.
